OUR WEDDING STAFF - The staff of Old Otterbein Church will work with you to arrange and carry out your wedding plans.  Because of the historic nature of our organ and our buildings, the services of this congenial, helpful, and professional team must be used.

The Pastor - At Old Otterbein, we view marriage as a covenental and worship experience.  The pastor of Old Otterbein Church, will work with you in the organizing and prepare your marriage ritual.  We offer pre-marital counseling as desire; either informal conversations or a more intensive program. All weddings will be conducted or officiated over by the pastor of Old Otterbein or designee.

The Organist - The Old Otterbein organ was built in 1897 by Henry Nieman and is one of only five organs that remain today.  In your wedding folder you will find a list of approved organists that we recommend for your consideration.  It is up to you to contact them to check their availability and their fee for rehearsal and wedding service.  Can you use your own organist?  Yes, as long as they are qualified to play a pipe organ.  Qualified means they have a degree in music with an emphasis on organ and/or they are currently serving as an organist in a local church.  Permission for an outside organist to play for your wedding is the responsibility of the pastor.
